Coming in 2026-2027: Skills Before Screens 

Granville County Public Schools is launching a new initiative designed to balance educational technology with meaningful human connection. Beginning next school year, Mondays and Tuesdays will be "Tech-Free" days across the district, allowing students to focus on collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and hands-on learning.

Additionally:

Grades K-2: No student devices

Grades 3-8: Devices will remain at school

Grades 9-12: 1:1 take-home devices will continue

By using technology with intentionality, we are prioritizing student learning, strengthening relationships, and helping students build the skills they need for the future.
