Flu Season - It’s flu season! We are seeing a lot of students (and staff) sick. If a student has a fever, flu like symptoms or is feeling sick/unwell, please keep them home. Students should be fever-free (without medicine) for 24 hours before returning to school.
MOY iReady Diagnostics – Students will be taking their MOY iReady Diagnostics. Please encourage your students to do their best. These diagnostics set us up for a successful 2nd semester. This data also allows us to know where we can best support your student in preparation for the EOG.
Freedom Songs – 8th grade students will have an assembly on Monday afternoon from Bright Star Touring Theatre. The performance is called “Freedom Songs”.
Spelling Bee – Congratulations to our homeroom spelling bee winners. We will have our schoolwide spelling bee on Monday at 11:45 in the media center. We can’t wait to see who will represent Granville Central Middle School at the district spelling bee.
PTO/Panther PACK - The PTO will have their monthly meeting on Monday at 5:30 in Room 1303. Enter through the front door. We encourage all families to attend.
Be Pro, Be Proud Truck – The Be Pro, Be Proud Truck is coming to visit our 8th graders. Students will be going to the truck during their social studies class on either Thursday or Friday. Some CTE classes will also be visiting the truck. Not sure what the Be Pro, Be Proud Truck is – CLICK HERE – for more information.
Q2 Parent Conferences – Teachers will be reaching out to schedule conferences with families. We do not have a full parent conference day for quarter 2. Teachers will schedule conferences during their planning times and after school. If you have questions or need support scheduling a conference, please reach out to your students' homeroom teacher.
Tutoring – Interested in signing up for tutoring, use THIS LINK to sign up. Tutoring is on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:00.
SWAG Store: LINKED HERE – Order your Granville Central Middle School Swag! The Panther Pack PTO will receive a percentage from the sales. The store will be open each month from the 1st of the month to the 15th of the month. The store will close and orders will take about 4 weeks to be completed from the time the store closes. Orders will be delivered to GCMS and given to the student when they arrive!
