    • Superintendent Takeover - Mr. Eder won a classroom take over from our Superintendent, Dr. Winborne. He came and taught one of his classes for the day!

    • Attendance - We have had the highest secondary (Middle/High) attendance every month thus far this school year! Keep it up! Coming to school  is one of the most important things towards a student's academic success!

    • Holidays Around the World was a huge success! Thank you to the families that attended and supported the work our staff and students put into this program.

    • Holiday Card Contest - Shout out to one of our very own, Zenobia E., for winning the middle school Holiday Cart Art Contest for the district!

    • Congratulations to Ms. Lynn Cooper for being selected a NC AI Fellow (1 of 2 in Granville County), being selected to attend the NCCAT’s Teaching the Holocaust: Resources and Reflections seminar in Washington, DC (Only one in Granville County), winning a $1,000 Holocaust Experience Grant and a Trip to Poland over the Summer!

  • Welcome to Semester 2! Reminders:

    • Cell phones/Wireless Devices - Off and Away ALL day - This is from the time students enter the building in the morning until they exit the building  at dismissal in the afternoon.

    • Tech Free Days - Tech Free Tuesday and Thursdays will continue into Semester 2!

    • Transitions – Students should walk on the right side of the hallway as they transition classes. They have adequate time to get to and from classes. If students are late to class, they will be marked tardy. Once a student reaches 5 tardies, it becomes a MAJOR Office Referral.

    • Out of Area – If students are in the bathroom, stairwells, hallways that are not utilized by their grade level with a pass from a teacher (digital pass), they may be identified as “Out of Area” which is a safety concern and a major referral.

    • Dismissal - Beginning Tuesday, 8th graders will remain in their classrooms for dismissal. We will announce for 8th grade bus students to dismiss and then 8th grade carpool students will use the stairwell by Mr. Brown’s classroom to come out to carpool when their number/name appears on the screen.

    • Dress Code – GCPS Dress Code will be enforced. If students are out of dress code, they will need to contact home for a change of clothes. Thank you for your support in ensuring students come to school prepared and ready to learn!

  • Semester 2 Schedules: All students will receive new schedules for Semester 2. Students will be going to their Semester 2 electives beginning on Tuesday.

  • SWAG StoreLINKED HERE – Order your Granville Central Middle School Swag! The Panther Pack PTO will receive a percentage from the sales. The store will be open each month from the 1st of the month to the 15th of the month. The store will close and orders will take about 4 weeks to be completed from the time the store closes.
